My Expertise
I have received training in 2010 to provide expert support for breastfeeding mothers by undertaking degree level education, examination and providing evidence of over 2½ thousand hours of breastfeeding support for mothers to be eligible.
It is the highest internationally recognised qualification in lactation, and we are required to evidence professional development every five years to stay on the register.
Lactation consultants, have the knowledge and skills to support mothers and families with complex issues as well as giving evidence-based advice to support any parent on their journey. We also have the training to support families with complex feeding issues.
There is a variety of levels of support for breastfeeding, and you may consider accessing a breastfeeding counsellor, specialist or consultant, but the credential of an IBCLC guarantees a professional is regulated and follows a strict code of conduct.

As an IBCLC of 15 year’s experience I can offer you and your family advice and support in all aspects of infant feeding.

I also offer support to prepare for your feeding journey antenatally and offer advice and guidance to all clients up to baby’s first birthday as I am passionate about supporting a positive weaning journey.
